I am student at Forest Trail Middle School. I think it is a very good school in terms of academics. Other things such as behavior..its not good. To me i think my school is high in decipline also. Teachers are constantly giving after school detentions and referals , But im graduating this year so im happy. My advise to people who are reading this is that Forest Trail is a very good school, but prepare for your child to come home everyday talking about the school, or a teacher.. etc.

I loved the teachers and I think that my son could not have had a better experience with academics and socially.

If you don't mind your kid going to school in a chaotic enviroment - the middle school will work for you.

I had a great experiance at FPMS. The teachers are amazing and I have learned so much. Many students have behavior problems, but good students don't usually get affected by the mistakes of others. One thing about the school is that there is high dicipline. The principal of the school is quite strict. Overall, I love this school. The best part are the fantastic teachers. I am very proud to say that I attended FPMS.

I really like school here. I admit some students have behavior problems, but other are really kind and helpful. There are a large number of sports, clubs, and plays, etc. to be involved in. Most of the teachers are amazing . I really love FPMS.

The academic environment of the school is ok if your child excells. The principal has done a wonderful job of trying to keep things orderly. She has her work cut out for her though. Overall though, I think the school is good and the kids have a good time while learning.

Forest Park Middle School has faced some changes over the last several years, but it has a dedicated staff that is working very hard to meet those challenges. The ISAT scores aren't where they need to be, particularly in math, but they've increased the number of instructional minuted and are working with parents to try and raise the scores. FPMS has a ton of extra curricular activites, a bunch of sports and several non-sports teams like speech team, drama club, and computer club. Some parents are, of course, really involed. Others haven't seen the inside of the school since registration. It's getting better with edline (an online reporting program for grades and important info) but it's still not one hundred percent.

I really like what they are trying to do. However, there is so many different levels of kids and so many that are poorly behaved. The teachers are great. I wish something can be done to get parents more involved with their kids. Most top kids parents are involved. It seems the standard is that problem kids have less parental involvement period.

Forest Park Middle School really cares about its students and their education! We have friends in Naperville and they brag about it. Well Naperville doesn't give Weekly progress reports. As a parent I love this! You get to check on progress way before midquarter or report card time. The teachers are in teams and they really do put in the extra effort. Many have been there a long time and the new ones not only bring fresh ideas, they are dedicated! I had my child in private school and did not know that this school was so great. His academics as well as behavior has excelled as well as his self-esteem. These things are priceless to me. I really think they are doing a great job. When we considered moving we discovered that none of the far suburbs offered as much as we have right here in Forest Park!
